Earlier this week I read a review of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" that made it seem singularly unappetizing, and I recall saying something to the effect that I'd probably never go see it. But when L. asked me to see it yesterday I changed my mind, and I found it quite enjoyable. The reference to "2001: A Space Odyssey", for one, was very funny.

By the way, go see "March of the Penguins"; it is truly spectacular. It is certainly the best animal documentary I've ever seen.
